During her visit in 1840, the Marquis Calderón de la Barca, dedicated her XXXI letter of her book "La Vida en México" to the Hacienda, where she described it's beauty and charm.
When the Mexican Revolution triumphed and gained independance from Spain, the proprties of the Marquis of the Valley of Mexico were administrated by Don Lucas Alamán, the respected mexican historian and polititian, these properties included the Hacienda in San Antonio Atlacomulco, he administered these properties until his death in 1853.
After the Revolution, the Mexican Government sold the property to the Monteleone-Pignatelli family, who started the reconstruction that conserved it's historic value so it could be converted into an exclusive hotel, considered as a
TREASURE OF MORELOS.
